Brief History
The cornerstone of Compass Restaurant Consulting & Research, Inc. (Compass RCR) is the owner/operator lens through which the company views the business world. Compass RCR began over ten years ago as a result of an investor’s inquiry seeking store level information, operator sentiment and insights into what key performance indicators are potentially most sensitive to destabilization in the current situation of the brand (information they were unable to obtain on their own).
Our experience as an operator and our unrivaled portfolio of industry contacts provides us access and the ability to relate to operators as well as to effectively interpret events and uncover inflection points. We were able to provide detailed answers to the investor’s inquiry and from that point we launched our research platform.
As a natural consequence of decades of restaurant operational experience, we expanded the original business platform to include a wide array of consulting engagements ranging from: all sizes and types of restaurant concepts, assisting technology firms adapting their application for restaurant use, and advising various small businesses on a broad array of topics.
We currently have several of our original clients with the average client engagement being over seven years.
